The Rapidly Disappearing Sri Lankan Tusker Lineage


Although there were earlier reports about an elephant receiving treatment inside the Wilpattu National Park, the matter did not gain much attention on social media.


However, it was revealed yesterday that the elephant had passed away and that it was Kaali (T-155), who lived in the vicinity of the Wilpattu National Park.


It is saddening that, in recent days, there have been multiple reports of injured elephants and deaths resulting from those injuries.
